What Does Art Mean To Me?
Category : Arts
Art means different things to different people. For me art means a few things:
It’s imperfect. In fact, in my view, it should not be perfect. Perfection is manufactured and it’s the imperfections that make art original, different and well, art. But then art throughout the ages has been imperfect and different. Abstract art for example is certainly a distortion. Art, where colours are unrealistic or unique, is another example. Unless you’re an alien from Star Trek, humans usually don’t have blue skin. However in art, a subject can have any skin tone the artist chooses.
As I sold another piece of art this week, I was reminded of the extra things that we should be doing when we are selling a piece of art or a painting. Thought I’d share my list with you.
Having an online presence in social media is absolutely one of the most important marketing strategies to promote a brand nowadays. There is no need denying the fact that social media (coupled with online options) is the best place to market your products because it is where the most influential and exciting interactions happen. There are so many things happening in the art world. At times it can be a bit intimidating especially for newcomers. There is a need to cope with the realities of the ever-changing era of this vast art industry. Life of an artist is a bittersweet mix of an infinite sea of uncertain arrangements, profitable demands, and aggressive competitiveness.
